Max Factor Glossfinity is a new range of nail polish featuring 22 new shades designed to last up to 7 days on your nails. Previously I showed you some of the Max Factor Glossfinity shades (preview, photos) I received from Max Factor Romania which I’ve been using for the past couple of months.
Now at Douglas Perfumeries, DM drugstores, Sephora and online @nelly.com
Max Factor Glossfinity #Flushed Rose nail polish is a sweet coral rose with fine silver shimmer and a glossy finish. The formula is excellent, not too thin or too thick and the application went perfectly without streaking, pooling or bubbling. The color is medium opaque in one coat but a second coat delivers full color opacity while the top coat gives a nice a mirror-like finish. Continue Reading
Max Factor launched at the beginning of this month Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation with SPF 20 (official info & promo imageswhich seems to be a new revolutionary product incorporating primer, concealer and foundation all in one. As a faithful client of Max Factor Second Skin foundation I was happy to hear that the new Facefinity works particularly well on oily to combination skin types offering a matte finish.
Now at Douglas Perfumeries, Dm drugstores, @boots.com
The shades I received are #45 Warm Almond and #50 Natural the lightest ones but the Facefinity Foundation range is available in 5 colors. The product comes in a clear glass 30 ml/ 1.0 fl oz bottle with a pump which can deliver the exact amount of product you need and retails for £11.99 – 61.90 Lei. In my case a pump and half is enough to get a full face coverage. Continue Reading
Jordana Nail Polish in #963 Pink Star is one of my favorite pink shades which I received a long time ago together with a few Jordana makeup products (swatches & photos) from Cosmetica Verde. If you haven’t tried Jordana products before you must know they have a great variety of makeup and nail products with a large spectrum of colors and they prices are really affordable.
Jordana Pink Star nail polish ($1.99 / 12.00 Lei – 15 ml / 0.5 fl oz) is a soft pink with multi-shaped silver glitter and flakes. It has a thin formula but not watery and due to its glitter particles which can reflect blue or turquoise shades the combination is quite interesting. The application went well without pooling or streaking but I had to dip the brush a couple of times to get enough product. The applicator brush is too thin and long in my opinion and could be a little more time consuming to try to apply this polish especially if you have long nails. The pink and silver glitter combination is great but I find the silver flakes a little bit too big so they kind of ruin the combination. The color looks quite sheer in one coat and medium opaque in two coats but if you want a glossy finish I recommend using a top coat. The reason why I used top coat on five of my nails was to seal down those flakes and compare the results after a few days with the other nails where I haven’t applied a protective coat. Today I want to talk to you about Max Factor Glossfinity Sunset Orange nail polish that I worn a couple of times this summer and is one of the shades I received (photos) from Max Factor Romania earlier this year.
Max Factor Glossfinity is a new nail polish range featuring 22 shades meant to last up to 7 days on your nails. I have six shades from this collection and the ones I’ve tested so far didn’t let me down.
Now at Douglas Perfumeries, DM drugstores, Sephora and online @nelly.com
Max Factor Sunset Orange (£9.95 / 29.00 Lei for 11 ml/ 0.37 fl oz) is a bright true orange with a glossy finish which delivers a medium opaque color in two coats. It has a thin formula but not watery which makes the application flawless without pooling, bubbling or streaking. It’s a really bright color, just a pure perfect orange with a shiny finish but I still added a top coat on five of my nails so I could compare the results a few days later with the nails where I worn the polish only in two coats. If earlier today I showed you the upcoming OPI Spring 2013 Mariah Carey Collection (info & promo images) now it’s time for new shades launching in spring and featured in the new OPI Euro Centrale Collection. Even though I’m not a big fan of OPI’s nail polish I’m happy to know that Romania is represented in this collection by two new shades called My Vampire is a Buff which is a very pale and nude shade probably meant to resemble vampire’s pale skin and Vant to bite my neck? a deep eggplant. I don’t know about you ladies but in my opinion as a girl who lives in the country where all the vampire stories were born I was expecting another shade, probably a bright red would have been a cliche but I would loved to see a dark bloody red with burgundy undertones or something more provocative but not this trivial nude posing as a victim (hmm…could this be it?!). The second shade looks a bit more interesting but overall the entire collection haven’t came up with some unique shades.
Classic meets contemporary with Euro Centrale by OPI for Spring/Summer 2013. Celebrating a region where history meets modern design, the collection’s twelve new nail lacquers offer a mixture of glamorous metallic hues; playful bright shades in periwinkle, aqua and pink; and creamy blues in indigo, midnight and aubergine.
“Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania make up an exciting new fashion hotspot,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “When visiting these countries, you’ll view Gothic churches alongside vibrant graffiti murals, blending two very different aesthetics. This fusion of old and new was also seen in runway looks during New York Fashion Week, where classic styles were reinvented with modern silhouettes and patterns.
“Euro Centrale boasts a wide variety of shades, ranging from pale nude to deep blue – and featuring everything from shimmering copper to aqua in between!,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “Whether you’re looking to spice up a black and white print, or add neutrality to a vivid brocade, these lacquers are designed to accessorize spring’s hottest looks.”
International Launch Date – 6 February 2013 at ULTA and dedicated beauty salons and retailers

Today I received a small package with a few MOR products. I know I haven’t posted about this brand before but from now on I will include this brand among others that I’ve been blogging about, especially since MOR products will be soon available in Romania.
My package includes Honey Nectar Hand & Body Lotion ($18.00 – 350 ml/ 11.8 fl oz), Basil & Grape Scented Candle ($18.00 – 170 g/ 6.0 oz) and two samples of Black & Cherry Plum and Sugar Rose Tiger Lilly Hand Creams of 3 ml/ 0.1 fl oz.
So far I’ve tested only the Honey Nectar Hand & Body Lotion which smells divine and leaves my hands feeling smooth, soft and hydrated with an incredible sweet smell of sweet brown sugar, honey and almonds all melted together in warm vanilla milk. This product is recommended for everyday use for a soft, soothed and hydrated skin. It contains the conditioning agent glycerine, Castor Seed & Coconut Oil to soften the skin and Vitamin E which reinvigorates tired skin. Continue Reading
Here is a sneak peek of Jill Stuart Spring 2013 Dreamy Layered Glow Collection probably one of the cutest upcoming spring makeup collections. Seems like recently there’s been a pre-launch event where beauty editors had the chance of taking a peek at this lovely collection which must be quite a big one judging from the fact that some of the products will launched in January 2013 while others in February.
I see layered on the table eyeshadow quads, several new blushes, quite a range of nail polishes, lip glosses and also new eyebrow powder sets.
Japan Launch Date – January 2013 first part of the collection and 15 February 2013 the second part.
