Algologie Eye Contour Cream – Review, Swatch & Photos

by Tavia

Hello pretties!

As you already know from my preview article in the past month I’ve been using Algologie Eye Contour Cream (preview & first impressions). If you want to know how I discovered Algologie products and what made me buy this product please read my preview post where I gave all the details. If you read my blog long enough you already know that I will choose a skincare product over a makeup product anytime and I admit that I tend to spend more on luxury skincare products rather than makeup. In the last couple of years I’ve been using anti aging eye creams from high end brands like La Mer and La Prairie but I still like to try new products from different brands hoping that I can find a product that will give me the same great results at a lower price.

After I read about Algologie Anti-Aging Eye Contour Cream I was really curious to try it not only because of its properties or ingredients but also because of its packaging and light formula.

Algologie Anti-Aging Eye Contour Cream (89.00 Lei/ £11.45 for 20 ml/ 0.68 fl oz) comes in a matte white plastic tube which is very easy to use and also hygienic because you only need to squeeze the tube a little bit for the product to come out and dust particles don’t get inside so easily like they use to when you apply cream right from the jar. I was also impressed with the amount of product included in the tube which is considerably a lot more than what normal size creams have and I’m talking about 20 ml comparing to 15 ml.

Moving on from the packaging one of the first things I like about this cream is it’s formula, a super light consistency which feels more like a lotion rather than a cream. I have combination and sensitive skin type and I like to use lotions and serums rather than heavy creams so I’m always looking for face or eye products with a gentle and light formula. Algologie Eye Contour Cream has a formula that feels lightweight on skin and it’s absorbed instantly without leaving a greasy area around the eye. It has firming, hydrating and smoothing properties which reduce considerably the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Being in my early 30s I’m looking for an anti aging eye cream, not with strong ingredients but something that will help smooth out and reduce those fine expression lines and delay the appearance of wrinkles. This cream has marine and plant extracts which act in synergy for a more youthful appearance. It doesn’t irritate my eyes, doesn’t break me out so it’s gentle as can be with the sensitive area around my eyes. The skin feels so smooth, soft and hydrated looking healthier, firmer brighter. It doesn’t have a strong smell so it won’t irritate your eyes or make you cry as sometimes happens to me when I use a strong scented eye cream.

I really recommend this cream to those who of you looking for a gentle but efficient anti-aging eye cream, for all skin types and especially for those with sensitive skin. It is a really efficient eye cream not to mention the great deal you get for the 20 ml full size tube that will last you a few good months. The price is pretty affordable considering how much product you get for these money with the mention that a little goes a long way so you only need to squeeze the tube once to get enough cream for one application.

The only downsize that I can think of is that Algologie Anti Aging Eye Contour Cream will help you more hydrating, firming and smoothing out your lines and wrinkles rather than help you with your dark circles of puffiness.

On the packaging there’s a short description in 5 languages and inside there’s a paper with more info and details written in the same languages. I wanted to post the photo with the short description for my Russian readers so they can understand better. 🙂
