China Glaze Glistening Snow Nail Lacquer – Review, Swatches, Long-Lasting Test

Hello sweeties!

China Glaze Glistening Snow is one of the 3 nail lacquers I received from China Glaze Romania a while back and it’s part of China Glaze Holiday 2012 Holiday Joy Collection (info, swatches & preview). This shade is one of my top two favorite shades from this collection and because it’s a glitter can be combined with other nail lacquers with creamy texture for different manicure styles. I’ve already done a post with swatches of China Glaze Glistening Snow over Creme Nail Lacquers so if you are interested click and have a look.

Now and

China Glaze Glistening Snow nail lacquer (14 ml/ 0.5 fl oz for 24.00 Lei/ $8.00) is described as a fine diamond-like silver glitter and has silver, gold, green and pink particles that look exactly like snow reflexes. It looks absolutely gorgeous over any nail polish, especially black which is my favorite combination.  The formula is quite thin so I advise you to wait a little before applying the second coat so you can give a chance to that glitter to really get a grip on the first layer and maximize its shiny effect. The application went perfectly without pooling or streaking.

After applying the first coat the glitter looks uneven and you will see some spots that aren’t exactly covered but a second layer of Glistening Snow will even out the glitter. For a base and top coat I’ve applied Kinetics Nano Shark Treatment (review & swatches) only on five of my nails and the top coat not only gives a super shine and luscious finish but also tames a little bit the glitter particles so it will feel a little bit smooth to the touch.

I’ve kept this color on my nails for 7 days and I know it’s not an excuse as I usually tend to remove it once I have chipped or tip wear but this happened when I was moving to a new apartment and I was very busy.
