Spring is right around the corner so I thought I should wear a fresh coral shade on my lips and I chose Coolcos Coral Moisturizing Lipstick. I have to admit I’m more into pink rather than coral but I gave this new shade a try just because I love its warm undertones and the fact that is not very intense so it’s wearable at any hour of the day without being harsh with lighter skin tones.

Coolcos Coral Moisturizing Lipstick (27.18 Lei/ 49.00 DKK/ $8.00 for 3.5 g/ 0.1 oz) is a warm light coral with soft yellow undertones and a natural sheen. It has a good color payoff but it’s somehow easy on the eye, not a bright vibrant and opaque coral. In my case that’s a good thing as I’m not into very pigmented coraly shades and this Moisturizing Lipstick in No.40 Coral will complement almost every skin tone, from the fairest to the darkest ones.
It changed my lip color but because it’s such a warm coraly shade it doesn’t harden my face features and it makes lips looks fresh and summery. It’s applied smoothly an evenly on the lips but the formula is not quite as moisturizing as it should be because this particular color emphasizes lip lines and creates that visual impact of soft dried lips. Coolcos No. 40 Coral Moisturizing Lipstick it feels lightweight and comfortable on the lips, it doesn’t dry them out but it doesn’t hydrated them or keep them enough moisturized throughout the day.
I personally like to apply a lip balm with 10-15 minutes prior applying the Coolcos Moisturizing Lipstick so my lips will become soft and smooth, especially since it’s winter outside and the temperatures are not friendly at all.
About the packaging I’ve talked before in my previous reviews so you know how much I love it, very easy to use and hold, not to mention very practical to store in your lip train as it has a transparent top cap where you can see the color and a promo swatch on the bottom of the lip case.
I get about 4 hours wear with this formula, without leaving a stain but because I’m not fond of the way it emphasizes my lip lines I decided to apply Coolcos Super Gloss No.26 (upcoming review) on top of it. The color became more intense, the lip lines were diminished and my lips were looking fuller due to that beautiful glossy effect.
