Dior Makeup Collection for Fall – Winter 2012 – Sneak Peek

Hello lovelies!

Even though the cold season is far away (I like to think that summer will last an eternity) I though you might appreciate a sneak peek of Dior Makeup Collection for Fall – Winter 2012. Some of the products from this collection were used on models from runway Dior Fall Winter 2012 so if you watched the presentation I’m sure you’ve spotted the new makeup tendencies.

Cosmetics play a very big part in the secret of beauty, but they mustn’t show. Too much make-up is now very old-fashioned. You don’t have to be under strong lights like an actress on a stage, so there is no need to be made up like one. The most natural make-up is best, and except for lipstick it must not show. Brightly coloured nail varnish is all right il you like it, but personally I prefer natural colours. – quote from Christian Dior’s Little Dictionary of Fashion released in 1954.

Still, natural beauty is perennial. Inspired by the layering of powdery, diaphanous couture materials, the Nude range embodies the ultimate expression of self: naked beauty for a sophisticated lifestyle.

The hair is smooth, glossy and pulled into a ponytail, like that of dancers on the ballet stage. The models have to be “beautiful, fresh, young” — according to the brief the ready-to-wear design studio has given to the show make-up team. For the foundation, Diorskin Forever Light Beige, Skinflash n°005 Lumière Universelle and Diorblush Peachy Keen n°553. For the eyes: 5-Color Eyeshadow n°743 Grège, Diorshow New Look n°090 and 5-Color Eyeshadow n°774 Golden Savannah. The lash is black and the lid glows, lightly enhanced with gold. On the lips: Dior Addict Extrême n°316, whose name, ‘Incognito’, indicates the natural effect it gives. Backstage, the girls are having fun.

They’re like dolls getting made-up, having their hair done, dressed — and accessorized. The new versions of the bags work with the colors of each outfit. Diorissimo is in shaded mink and lurex tweed or vinyl tweed, the houndstooth done in embroidered leather. Miss Dior also plays with dual tones and fur fringing, knit stitch ‘cannage’ and sheepskin paired with alligator. As for the Lady Dior, it’s a mix of mink and astrakhan. New item of the season: the oversize clutch, like a giant flap-front envelope. In dresses of leather and silk, in long skirts and Bar jackets, the models are primped, lined up, and ready for their star turns. Lights out. Music. Action. www.dior.com

I really like the new makup trend in natural colors with gold eye shadows and I’m also pretty excited about Dior 5 Color Eyeshadow #774 Golden Savannah but I have to be patient until mid August 2012 when I will see it on the counters.

I always buy the Dior Fall eyeshadow quad. Fall are my colors. i didn’t buy the Gris Gris quad ’cause it got bad reviews. But the Night Butterfly 2009 Fall quad is my all time best quad ever.
