Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in #08 Color Crush is one of the 10 new shades (swatches) which entered the permanent collection this fall. At the Essence presentation event which took place a few days ago I had my eyes on this pretty pink shade and even if I’ve swatched and tried all the other shades, only this one came home with me.

Essence Color Crush Long Lasting Lipstick ( €2.29/ 14.20 Lei for 3.8 g/ 0.13 oz) is a medium blue based pink which has a good color payoff and delivers a nice natural sheen. It has a creamy formula which delivers a pigmented and even color in one swipe, gliding easily across the lips without emphasized dryness or sinking into lip lines.

It feels amazingly light, creamy and comfortable on the lips without drying them out. It’s incredible long lasting indeed for a drugstore product and I was amazed to see it on my lips even after 5 hours (without eating or drinking). It does leave a stain which is not bad at all because once the color fades my lips are still tinted with a subtle pink shade.

It comes in a black packaging with a pink ring which matches the actual lipstick color. It has a cool Essence logo on the lipstick texture.

The cool essence logo on the texture and the matt, black packaging with a ring of color to match the actual color of the lipstick are true eye-catchers!

I’m really liking this vibrant pink color that’s not too over the top and made my lips look vivid, natural and fresh. It will look beautiful especially on those with fair skin tones but it might not look that wearable on those with black and olive skin tones.

Considering it’s a drugstore product which comes at a very affordable price I will be definitely going to check out the other shades. I’m surprised how well it performs and how long lasting it is.
