Kinetics Orange Pop nail polish is part of Kinetics Neon Spring 2012 Collection (nail swatches, info, photos & prices) which was already launched worldwide and is available in a Limited Edition at beauty salons, online and local distributors.
Kinetics Orange Pop (Eur 6.00 / 25.00 Lei for 15 ml/ 0.5 fl oz) is true neon orange with a semi-matte finish. It’s quite transparent in one coat but even after the second coat you won’t have an opaque color. Despite other neon finishes which are completely matte, Orange Pop feels luscious when you touch your nails and has a soft-matte finish something in between creamy and matte. The color looks different outdoor and indoor but its true shade is revealed in the evening or when the sun is not so bright. Then you can really see a more matte neon orange and it looks even more opaque (see photos and tell the difference).
The application was flawless. The formula is something in between creamy and watery but just the perfect combination, the same as Kinetics Pinky Winky (review & swatches). I applied it evenly without bubbling, pooling, or streaking. I love that it dries almost instantly so I don’t have to wait 5-10 minutes like on those colors with a super creamy finish. I haven’t applied any top coat because it would have given the color a more luscious and shiny finish.

Kinetics Orange Pop Nail Polish after 4 days wear
After 4 days Kinetics Orange Pop was that bright orange shade, with a more matte finish (water, lotions and creams will do that) and minor tip wear. The polish chipped a little but since it’s a neon I would have expected that within 2 days. Remember also that I didn’t apply any top coat.
Kinetics Orange Pop Nail Polish – no top coat – 4 days later
I hope this review will help you choose your favorite color from Kinetics Neon Collection for spring 2012. 🙂
