Kinetics Pinky Winky Polish from Neon Spring 2012 Collection – Review, Photos & Nail Swatches

Hello lovelies!

Kinetics Pinky Winky nail polish is one of the six colors included in Kinetics Neon Collection for Spring 2012 (info, nail swatches, photos & prices) which is already available in beauty salons and online. I always thought I will see neon polishes in summer collections but this time Kinetics changed the history and released these bold electric colors in the spring. It will be interesting to see what they will come up with for summer 2012.

Pinky Winky is a bright electric orange with coral undertones. It might seem like a true orange in the photos but compared with Kinetics Orange Pop nail polish from the same collection you can notice the difference.

The entire Kinetics Neon Collection makes exception again from the rule when it comes to texture. All the six colors have a light creamy texture, just the right combination, not to thick and not to watery which leaves a soft-matte effect on the nails. Usually when I worn neons they were all matte and even when I touched my nails they felt like a matte finish but the Kinetics ones are different, they feel luscious and they can still deliver a semi-matte finish.

Pinky Winky (Eur 6.00 / 25.00 Lei for 15 ml) had almost an opaque coverage from the first coat but a second coat was still necessary. The color looks different indoor and outdoor (see photos). After two coats is not completely opaque if you look at it indoor but it changes when you go out or especially in sunny light. I had no problems with the application, as the formula is just right, no bubbling, streaking or pooling.

I worn Pinky Winky for 4 days on my nails, without a top coat. Usually neon colors don’t last long, the ones from China Glaze last me 2 days, the ones from Essie like 2-3 days but their advantage is they dry almost instantly and you can renew your color as often as you want without spending to much time.

Pinky Winky was still that electric coral neon after 4 days but more matte and it started chipping so that’s when I said buh bye. I honestly didn’t expected to last this long so it was a really nice surprise. 🙂
