Last week I worn on my nails the beautiful Kinetics Marlene nail polish from Kinetics Spring Summer 2013 Crazy Daizy Collection (info & swatches). This shade is one of the darkest one from this collection but it’s also and elegant and glamorous color due to those gold and bronze shimmering particles. This stylish nail polish goes well with an elegant dress and can be worn to a fancy party, a romantic date, a wedding or a special event.
Now @kineticsnails.com, @kiriloff.ro, @margaritabelska.com and at Exclusive Beauty Line Academy in Bucharest.
Kinetics Marlene nail lacquer (€6.00/ 25.00 Lei/ £3.60 for 15 ml/ 0.5 fl oz) is a dark reddish brown base creme with burgundy undertones and gold, red and bronze shimmer. In one coat the polish is not fully opaque and looks a bit transparent towards the nail tips but after the second coat you will get a beautiful opaque color coverage with a strong gold shimmer that makes the polish look more like a deep reddish bronze. The formula has an excellent combination between thick and thin so I had no problems during the application with bubbling, streaking or pooling along the edges of the nail.
For a super glossy finish I added one coat of my favorite Kinetics Nano Shark Treatment (review & swatches) which will also protect the color and the nails. I worn Marlene nail polish for 5 days before I remove it. On the nails where I’ve applied top coat I had no chipping, the color was still vibrant and glossy but there was noticeable tip wear. Things are a little bit different on the nails where I haven’t applied top coat because the tip wear is definitely more noticeable but the polish didn’t chipped.
