It has been a while since I posted a nail polish review and that was because my nails were recovering. Back in December I had acrylic nails (photos) and after 1 month I decided I had enough of this experience and I want my natural nails back especially since I had so many nail polishes to review and I the long-lasting test on acrylic nails was not relevant. Today I’m going to review the Twilight nail lacquer from Kinetics that I worn back in January when I still had acrylic nails and they were still long and beautiful not short like they are now. This shade is part of Kinetics Winter 2013 Let’s Pink Collection (preview & swatches) from which I already reviewed a couple of shades.
Now @kineticsnails.com, @kiriloff.ro, @margaritabelska.com and at Exclusive Beauty Line Academy in Bucharest.
Kinetics Twilight Nail Lacquer (€6.00/ 25.00 Lei for 15 ml/ 0.5 fl oz) is a medium taupe with a creamy formula and a glossy finish. The formula is something in between thick and thin and glides perfectly on the nails. The color is fully opaque in one coat but I added a second one just to add some depth to the shade and make it look even more glossy. The application went fine without bubbling, streaking or pooling.
For a super glossy finish I decided to add one coat of Kinetics Nano Shark Treatment (review & swatches) on five of my nails. I worn Kinetics Twilight nail lacquer for 4 days before removing it and the color was still looking super glossy, without any signs of fading tips or chipping. On my natural nails I usually get for about 5 to 7 days of wear for Kinetics nail polishes but this time when I worn the polish over my acrylic nails it lasted a lot longer.
