La Mer Powder from Skincolor Collection – Preview, Information, Photos

by Tavia

Hi everyone,

As I’m sure you already know by now, La Mer is one of my two favorite brands when it comes to skincare. I used quite a few products from La Mer and I can definitely say this brand deserves its place it top of the pyramid when it comes to quality, results and of course prices.

Everything from La Mer is quality and elegance. Take a look at packaging and details and I’m sure you’ll agree with me. I’ve tried their creams, lotions and face serums and I’ve made friends for life with some of their products but I’ve also got to know some of the products from Skincolor Collection.

A while ago I received a package with products from Skincare collection containing:

I was really impressed with the quality of these products so I’ve got The Powder from the same collection.

I was in search for a great translucent powder and La Mer was my fairy so I’ve got the Powder in 01 Creme.

Price and Availability

The Powder – 25 g – $ 65.00

Available @ La Mer.com,  select Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman.

This luxurious finishing powder is so incredibly light it appears to float. Developed with symmetrically shaped, uniquely coated particles, it magnetically attracts to the skin for a perfect fit. Airspun seaborne particles – some of the lightest materials on earth – create an imperceptible finish that leaves skin looking flawless. Translucent coverage.

It’s available in 3 different shades:

  • Translucent
  • Creme – my shade
  • Neutral

The jar seems huge and it will definitely last me a while. I will post more photos and personal information about the Powder in my upcoming review but for now I just want to say the packaging looks great. As always La Mer impresses me with an elegant, luxurious exquisite packaging. I like the powder puff, it’s so soft and I almost feel remorse when I decided to use it.

If you want to apply the powder, lightly dust on with powder puff or The Powder Brush.

Review will be coming up in a few days but until then I would like to read your impressions about this product, especially if you are familiar with La Mer products.

I have never tried La Mer products before, although I’ve heard so many things about them (all good). The products are a bit pricey, and I already have a mostly set skincare routine, but I am really tempted to try out some of their things (like the moisturizer and lip balm). This powder sounds very nice, yay for soft powder puffs!

I would recommend La Mer to anyone. They have great products. You just have to choose the right product for your skin type and you can’t go back to something else.an I’m really addicted to their Oil Absorbing lotion and tonic. 🙂

These are usually available at Saks Fifts Avenue, Neiman Marcus and luxury department stores, depending on your country. I also find them in duty free shops. 🙂
