Hello sweeties!
The other day I got MAC Dodgy Girl Lipstick, one of the four new limited edition shades of MAC Kelly Osbourne Summer 2014 Collection (info, promo photos) coming up in U.S. next month. This lip shade is my second favorite from this collection after MAC Kelly Yum-Yum Lipstick (review, swatches) which I told you about earlier.

MAC Dodgy Girl Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is officially described as a light lavender with a matte finish. It’s a light to medium cool tone pink lilac. I didn’t find the finish to be completely matte as it has a bit a satin and a slight sheen. After a couple of hours wear the sheen disappears and the color looks more mattified.The color is intense, pigmented and looks opaque on the lips but not many can pull it off. I like it how it looks on me as I have a light skin tone but I don’t know how wearable this would look like on darker and olive skin colors.
The application was fairly good but not entirely perfect because the color emphasized the lip lines and created that dry lip effect. I have to say it feels lightweight on the lips but the formula is not moisturizing or hydrating so I recommend applying a lip balm with a few minutes before applying MAC Dodgy Girl.
I had 5 hours wear with this formula (with eating and drinking) but after 3 hours I start to feeling how my lips were getting dry and dehydrated. As the color wore away, it did seem to settle more into lip lines and start to fade in the center of the lip. Even though the consistency is creamy and it glides on easily I felt the application wasn’t quite smooth and the color didn’t look perfectly even.
