A few weeks ago I wore Max Factor Gleaming Teal Gel Shine Lacquered, a new shade part of Max Factor Summer 2014 Beauty Collection (swatches, info, photos). A perfect aquatic nail polish shade that is perfect for summer but it can also be worn in Autumn.

Max Factor Gleaming Teal Gel Shine Lacquered (28.00 Lei for 11 ml) is a medium cool toned green teal. It’s truly a beautiful, intense teal that leans more towards the greener side than the blue one and it looks intense without being right in your eyes.
I truly loved wearing Max Factor Gleaming Teal as it is a rich, deep, pigmented and elegant looking shade, adding a pop of color to my nails but looking stylish and classy in the same time. It’s pigmented and almost opaque right from the first coat but it definitely needs the second coat for a fully opaque color coverage.
The formula is well balanced, right in the middle between thick and thin and it glides easily across the nails. The application was perfect, without streaking, bubbling or pooling along the edges of the nail. It has a beautiful intense gel-like shine but I still decided to add a layer of Jordana Yellow Out Top Coat on my left hand nails so I can compare the results a few days later.
As a base coat I used Kinetics Nano Rhino Treatment for Soft Nails (review, swatches, photos) on all of my nails.
I had six day wear with Max Factor Gel Shine Lacquered formula and on the nails where I applied top coat the colors looks a bit mattified and I had minor tip wear but without chipping. On my right hand nails where I haven’t used a top coat I had visible tip wear and the polish chipped from my index finger nail.
