Orly Fancy Fuchsia Nail Polish – Review, Swatches, Long-Lasting Test

by Tavia

Hello beauties!

This week I decided to go bright pink on my nails and I choose to wear Orly Fancy Fuchsia nail polish, despite of the snow and cold weather. I got Fancy Fuchsia as a gift in a mini size bottle of 5.3 ml/ 0.18 fl oz.

Orly Fancy Fuchsia Nail Polish ($5.00 for 18 ml/ 0.6 fl oz) is a bright blue based pink, that looks very pigmented and intense. It has a creamy thick consistency and a nice shiny finish. It’s almost fully opaque in one coat but I layered the second coat to even out the color as it looked a bit streaky around the edge of the nail.

Orly Fancy Fuchsia looks like the kind of shade that you would wear during summer, even though is not a neon pink, but as a lover of bright pink shades I’m considering this an all season shade.

The application went pretty well, without pooling or bubbling but after I applied the first coat the color looked a bit streaky on the side of the nail. The second coat of Fancy Fuchsia revealed a beautiful, bright and pigmented pink shade, fully opaque and with a slightly shiny finish but if you want an intense glossy finish you should apply a top coat

I used Kinetics Nano Shark Emergency Treatment (review, swatches) as a base coat and Jordana Yellow Out Top Coat only on my left hand nails.

I had 4 days wear with this formula and Fancy Fuchsia was looking pigmented, intense and shiny on the nails where I’ve applied the top coat. Please excuse the way my nail looks like, but I had a small incident and I bumped my nails so the polish chipped, otherwise you can see for yourselves that I had very minor tip wear without chipping.

On my left hand nails where I haven’t applied top coat, the color is still intense and pigmented, a little bit more matte (soap, lotions and creams will do that) and with minor tip wear but without chipping. Orly Fancy Fuchsia is definitely one long lasting nail polish with or without top coat, the difference is in the glossy finish.
