Preview: La Mer Oil Absorbing Lotion

by Tavia

Another quick preview I’ll be making today is on the Oil Absorbing Lotion from La Mer, which is actually a lighter version of the original Creme de la Mer on which I’ve already done a preview where you can read more about its secret formula and key ingredients.

As I said on my review on Creme de la Mer, since my complexion is oily I wanted a product more suitable for my skin that could have they same ingredients as the original one and the Miracle Broth.

The new version specially created for oily skin types is the Oil Absorbing Lotion that I’ve been using for a couple of days now and I will review (new photos, important details and my whole experience with this product) in the next few weeks.

La Mer Oil Absorbing Lotion is a an oil-free, oil-absorbing fast-penetrating formulation that hydrates, yet leaves a soft matte finish for hours – perfect for nomal-to-oily and oily skins.

The Oil Absorbing Lotion contains the same amount of renowned Miracle Broth as the original Creme de la Mer. It possesses all the coveted benefits of the original Creme without compromising any of the extraordinary properties that make Creme de la Mer a skincare legend.

Just like the cream, this lotion is rich with  that undergo a highly intensive four-month bio-fermentation process. This is the exact process that preserves and empowers every ingredient of Creme de la Mer.

The Oil Absorbing Lotion is simply a lighter version of the original. The texture provides freedom of choice for those who desire Creme de la Mer in lotion form for times whe a creme may be too rich. Here it’s exactly my case, because since I’ve have been using the lotion I’ve noticed the difference between it and the original creme.

It feel indeed more lighter on my skin and my oily complexion can absorb all the ingredients within minutes leaving the skin with a natural healthy glow (not oiliness). In the first 2 minutes I can feel a warm on my skin, which was the Miracle Broth working its miracle because I could notice its smell. My cheeks were colored in a bright pink natural color but after the lotion was absorbed into my skin, the warm feeling was gone and also the pale pink shade from my cheeks.

I will tell you more about my experience in my upcoming review because I don’t want to spoil the surprise. 🙂

Price and availability

The Oil Absorbing Lotion comes in a 50 ml tube with a pump (which I love, because it’s not only hygienic but it gives you just the right amount of product) and costs $190.00.

It’s available at select Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and www.lamer.com.
