Revlon Colorstay Adventurous Eyeshadow Quad Review, Swatches, Photos

Hello beauties!

Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow Quads are quite familiar to me lately as the new #530 Adventurous is not the only one I’ve tried. Back in the fall I talked to you about Revlon Colorstay Seductive Eyeshadow Quad (review, swatches) a gorgeous combination of violet shades.

Revlon 515 Adventurous ColorStay 16-Hour Eye Shadow Quad (56.00 Lei / $4.80 for 4.8 g/ 0.16 oz) features a combination of four earthy and green shades. Revlon describes these eyeshadows as having a 16 hour wear, while the formula is silky smooth and it won’t crease, fade or smudge throughout the day. Now after I’ve put them to the test here is what I think of them.

Revlon Adenturous #01 is a very light yellow-white with subtle gold undertones and a satin finish. It has a good color payoff and nice pigmentation. It applies easily and evenly across the skin, adheres well even without a primer. It has a smooth, silky formula and it’s easily blendable without any fall out. I see it as a beautiful highlighting color applied on the brow bone or on the inner corner of your eye to add luminosity.

Revlon Adenturous #02 is a medium-dark grayish green with subtle gold shimmer and satin finish. It has a smooth formula but it feels a little bit dry to the touch also because you can easily feel the shimmering particles. It has a good color payoff even when it’s not aided by an eyeshadow primer. It’s easily blendable, without any fall-out and adheres well onto the skin. It lasts on me for about 7-8 hours before I notice the first signs of fading.

Revlon Adenturous #03 is a medium coppery-brown with some red undertones and very fine gold shimmer with a satin finish. It has a smooth and very soft texture. It offers a good color payoff, a nice pigmentation and has no fall-out when applied. The color bellow is swatched without an eyeshadow primer but it would look even more intense if you would use one. It blends effortlessly and lasts on me for about 8 hours before I start to notice the first signs of fading. It doesn’t crease.

Revlon Adenturous #04 is a medium-dark grayish chocolate brown with a matte finish. It has a good color payoff but I would have preferred it to be more intense, rich and opaque. It has quite a silky smooth and fine texture, it applies well onto the skin, blends easily without any fall out. It last on me for a little more than 8 hours before the first signs of fading are noticed.

Very pretty autumn tones to this little quad. I am pleased to read that the quality of Revlon’s eye shadows has improved.
