Rouge Bunny Rouge is one of my dearest makeup brands and I’m not saying this only because they sent me makeup products to test/ review over the years but because their products are high quality even though they are a considered a bit expensive by some. I love almost every product I’ve tried so far from this brand, I’m not saying I’m loving every shade but overall RBR never let me down. I also think they are professional in everything they do, PR department or customer service. I’ve always had a good relationship with RBR PR and they’ve always treated beauty bloggers with respect as far as I know and they’ve recently offered 20% off to any product to every beauty blogger, service that other brands wouldn’t even think of doing it.
The items I’m going to show you today were actually a present from RBR for my Birthday in December and I was sincerely overwhelmed with joy and gratitude not only because they’ve kept me in mind as a customer and as a beauty blogger but also because they’ve offered me a €100 value gift card so I could purchase anything I want from their online boutique. Thank you once again RBR, you are a great team.
I’ve chosen to buy the new Anti-Ageing Moisturizer since I’ve been using anti-ageing products from about 6 years now and I’ve tried so many RBR makeup products but never their skincare range. I couldn’t leave just with the moisturizer and I had to include something pink so I decided upon the Long-Lasting Eyeshadow in Capricious Nightingale.
Anti-Ageing Moisturizer – €73.00 – 50 ml/ 1.69 fl oz
A nutrient-rich, feather-light cream that lifts away surface imperfections, effectively minimises the signs of visible skin ageing and moisturises with a delicious cocktail of active ingredients to help your skin regain its biological youth. Thanks to Tri-functional Collagen Treatment and a unique mixture of botanically-derived peptides, your collagen is boosted and protected thus increasing your skins’ tone and elasticity and minimising fine lines and wrinkles. Tocopherol fights and repairs the damage caused by free radicals.
I’ve been using the moisturizer for about two weeks now and my review will shortly follow but before that I want to share some of my first impressions. I really like the packaging and I’m not talking about about the transparent jar with beautiful design but also about the box that came with it which looks very stylish yet simple and refined with a note of elegance. I will definitely keep the box and use it to store some makeup since it closes with a magnetic button.
I love it because it’s a moisturizer which is perfect for oily to combination skin. I always like to use moisturizers, serums or lotions since they are easily absorbed by my skin rather than creams which have a heavier and thicker texture. It promises to minimize fine lines and wrinkles so it should be OK to be used around your 30′ since it’s not a complex anti-ageing product. After the first application I felt it moisturizes and softens skin instantly and even though my complexion looked a little bit shiny the moisturizes was absorbed quickly into the skin leaving it soft and hydrated. I will disclose more details in my upcoming review.
Long-Lasting Eyesahdow – €24.00
I choose the shade Capricious Nightingale which is a silver-white cherry blossom pink with a metallic finish. It has embossed the logo of RBR on the shade and comes in a classy black packaging. The soft pink shade is more on the sheer and natural side but with an excellent color payoff exactly the shade I was looking for considering spring is just around the corner and I was in need of a soft pastel pink. The texture is so soft and buttery very similar with Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Colors (review & swatches) known for their amazing texture. It’s a long lasting color and easily blendable. Watch out for my upcoming review on this shade and a makeup look.
