Yesterday when I posted a sneak peek about the new Shiseido Future Solution LX Collection for spring 2014 I told you also that Shiseido created a few days ago a new digital platform for European media. Every month Dick Page will share his beauty tips and tricks with the rest of us, starting this month with foundation.

I’ve personally tested and used all the Shiseido’s foundations and my favorite one is their newest Sheer and Perfect Foundation SPF 15 (review & swatches).
Foundation Beauty Tips:
- Find the foundation that best suits your complexion: Sheer and Perfect Foundation to bring out the beauty of bare skin ; Radiant Lifting Foundation, for a good coverage and an anti ageing effect ; Perfect Refining Foundation, smooth as satin for the closest fit ever. Try the foundation on your face rather than on the back of your hand.
- Prepare your skin with the Refining Makeup Primer to cover uneven coloration like dullness and redness, conspicuous pores and even fine lines. It will also make your makeup finish last longer.
- Use the Perfect Foundation brush for a pro quality finish. Change brushstrokes depending on the area of the face to achieve the desired levels of foundation coverage.
- Use the Natural Finish Cream Concealer with the pad of your finger to conceal imperfections.
- Enhance your skin’s natural clarity and achieve a matte finish that lasts all day long. Apply a veil of Translucent Loose Powder, it melts into skin upon application matching any skin tone.

The packaging is classy 🙂 now I know what is the right foundation for me : sheer and perfect foundation.
Elegant packaging.
I have been using Sheer & Perfect foundation with the brush and the Shiseido translucent powder (pressed, because I travel a lot). This combination is by far my favourite because it’s lightweight and yet it does cover my skin’s imperfections. The foundation is the BEST I’ve ever had in terms of how it makes my skin look, better than the 2 other Shiseido foundations (radiant lifting and perfect refining). But it does not last as long as the other two. I have not used the primer because I just don’t like primer.
Nina I can’t agree with you more honestly. I own all the 3 types of Shiseido Foundation and for me even though the Refining is the long lasting one I prefer the new Sheer & Perfect just because it feels so light on the skin and it has a light/fairly medium coverage. Indeed the only thing that I regret about this foundation is that it wears off pretty fast (in my case is after 5 hours).
