Yesterday after catching only 4 hours of sleep I woke up looking so tired and not to mention that I was in hurry to go to a beauty event. I had less than 30 minutes to get ready so time was of the essence and an elaborate makeup look was out of the question. I wanted something that could make me look fresh within 5 minutes and trick everyone into thinking that I had a good night sleep. Here is what I came up with.
I did my hair very quick within 3 minutes and the makeup took me only 5 minutes. For the eyes I used only two eyeshadows and a black eye liner pencil and good two coats of mascara, keeping it very simple while the attraction were the red rosy lips.

Today I was thinking about Valentine’s Day because so many people are celebrating this holiday and while I was watching some of my favorite makeup gurus on YouTube I’ve came up with my version of a Valentine Inspired Spring Makeup Look using violet, black and a touch of burgundy plum shades. I was in the mood for a bold, sexy and mysterious makeup look for the eyes and a sweet pink shade for the lips event though I’m not usually wearing such an intense makeup so it was fun to play with the color and improve my blending technique.
I’m hoping I can do another version of Valentine Makeup Look in the following days, a softer look something more discreet and romantic. If you want to find out what products I’ve used to create this look, check out the list right after the jump. Continue Reading
I want to show you one of the makeup looks I worn the other day while I was playing and swatching my eyeshadows. I wanted to create something that will look fresh with a hint of color so I combined a soft pastel aqua blue and a metallic white pink. It is a makeup look that can be worn during the day for anyone who wants a pop of color, even though I’m more into the nude and gold shades it was fun to create and wear this makeup.
I’ve used only 3 eyeshadows so it’s nothing too sophisticated and anyone can achieve it, just make sure to blend the colors perfectly. If you like it check out the products I’ve used right after the jump. Continue Reading
I know it has been a while since I’ve posted one of my makeup looks and not because I haven’t worn makeup lately, because I did and I will post them this week, but because I wanted to keep up with all the Spring 2013 Makeup & Nail Polish Collections launching this season so I can include them in my round-up post.
The look I came up with a few weeks ago on a sunny day just like a spring preview when I was swatching some new shades for reviews was this Natural Makeup Look in soft pink and nude shades from Rouge Bunny Rouge. I wanted to create a look that was fresh, spring inspired, not to heavy on the eyes and something that can be worn every day at work, school or why not on a get together with your friends. The look is quite simple to achieve since all the shades are soft, not very pigmented but with a butter-like formula and easily blendable. Continue Reading
Discover the new Armani Spring Summer 2013 Makeup Trends by checking out this post where I’ve chosen a few photos taken backstage at Armani fashion show. From the start I will tell you I’m not into this hair style which seems to be shiny with hair product and “twisted back on itself so that ends swept over the face in the style of a sweeping fringe“.
The eye makeup is quite interesting, created by applying a black shadow just above the crease but I’m not sure if anyone can pull this off this look. The complexion was dewy and flawless while the lips painted in a matte vibrant red.
I think a matte lip liner would replace with success any lipstick if you want to create this look, not to mention it would resist a lot longer and it’s way more cheaper. A lip liner is the best base to use before applying lipstick if you want a long lasting color and most times I usually skip the lipstick and add a lipgloss if I want a a shiny color.

Let’s have a look at the new Dior Spring Summer 2013 Makeup Trends. I’ve chosen some photos from the Spring/ Summer 2013 couture show at Christian Dior which I think they are highly representative for the new makeup trends in the upcoming season. This time we get to see jeweled red lips and wet-look pixie crop wigs but if you can remember a few months ago I did a similar post with some different Dior Spring Summer 2013 Makeup Looks where lips were left in natural colors while the eye makeup was accentuated by electric and fiery colors and set with crystals.
The eye makeup this time is quite simple so a subtle line of black liquid liner or gel liner on the lid and a coat of mascara should be enough while the lips must be painted in bold, vibrant shades.

Let’s have a look at the photos taken backstage at Chanel Spring Summer 2013 defiles. The Spring Summer 2013 Makeup Look suggested by Peter Philips, creative director of Chanel is a black smoky eye paired with some beautiful eccentric lace lashes. I’m loving a black dramatic eye makeup once in a while but I’m more comfortable with the soft pink, nude and pastel lip shades worn the runway models.
I’m curious to know if the false lashes presented in this show will be available for sale later on. I don’t know about you lovelies but even though I’m not wearing such a bold makeup very ofter I really like the effect of these lace lashes and I would dare to wear them when I’ll go clubbing or probably on the future Halloween holiday. 🙂
