This beauty named Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow Palette was a limited edition release part of Estee Lauder Holiday 2016 Blockbuster (quick review, photos). I can’t say I really wanted to have this palette but I did want the entire blockbuster set for all the products, especially for the full size ANR serum. I bet you’ve seen some of the shades from this palette in previous collections and to tell you the truth they are easily dupable, but for someone who’s new to Estee Lauder products or is looking for these exact shades, this palette is worth a try. It comes with two full size lip glosses as well, which you can attached to the palette and I really like this idea as it keeps the gloss in one place and it won’t feel in your purse if you decide to take it with you on the go. So you can follow me right after the jump for a review and closer look at the photos and to check out the colors that you may find in the permanent collection.
The palette features 16 eye shadows, a highlighter, blusher and a sculpting shade, but doesn’t come with any applicator or brushes. The plastic compact snaps shut and it’s quite sturdy, easy to hold and has a classy black and white design. It’s not the most interested packaging I’ve seen but not the worst either so the palette comes as an average for me. Continue Reading
I just spotted Givenchy Signature Eye Palette yesterday online at Neiman Marcus. I’m browsing their website pretty often and I haven’t seen it before but I just wanted to share it with you guys because I felt a click when I looked at this palette. The entire palette offers mostly brown and nude shades so I admit it can be a pass for someone who’s into more colorful eyeshadows.
A gorgeous palette featuring 6 easy-to wear shadows inspired by the delicate nuances of iced chocolate. These universally-flattering shadows come in a mix of matte and shimmery finishes to create any look from the most neutral to the most intense smoky eye. Reflective pearlescent particles in different sizes create a deep 3D effect to intensify the colors with brilliant shine. Encased in a beautiful pink gold metallic textured top.

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics was for me one of the highlights of holiday 2016 collections. It’s a new and permanent eyeshadow palette, featuring 12 shades, joining the famous Urban Decay Naked family. Once you open the palette you will meet the 12 new neutral shades, with one of them in a shimmery finish or a demi-matte as the brand describes it, while the rest are all mattes.
The shades in Naked Ultimate Basics are neutral enough for everything from cool skin tones to olive complexions to darker skin. If you’ve never tried our matte shadows, you’ll be blown away by how different they are. Other mattes can be “skippy,” uneven on application or difficult to blend. But EVERY shade in Naked Ultimate Basics features our proprietary Pigment Infusion System™, which gives the formula its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability. Achieve the perfect application every time for a matte look that radiates.

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette ($54.00 / 236.00 Lei for 0.48 oz.) was for me not the best of Urban Decay’s Naked palettes but not the worst either…maybe something in between as regarding the quality and eyeshadow performance. Continue Reading
You already know about my picks from MAC Holiday 2016 Mariah Carey Collection so today I want to post my review for MAC I’m That Chic You Like Eyeshadow Quad. There were actually two eyeshadow quads released as a limited edition, part of this collection and even though they were both available when I entered MAC store, I decided to choose only this one. As you know the exquisite packaging had an impact on the price for this collection overall, so each item was more expensive that usual. I personally like the combination of brown and gold shades and this palette seemed like the best choice for something I’d wear in the evening or special occasions. I actually used the shades from this palette on my New Year’s Eve makeup look as they lean to a shimmery finish and they are more suitable for a party or glamorous event.

MAC I’m That Chick You Like Eye Shadow x 4 ($41.00 / 184.00 Lei for for 0.19 oz.) is a set of four neutral shades with a shimmering finish. The limited edition palette comes in a glittery compact with a transparent lid and a magnetic closure. What I like about the packaging besides the fact that you can always see the shades is the fact that even though the edges are glittery they are super smooth to the touch. The shades from this palette are easily dupable so I understand why some of you were not really into this palette. Continue Reading
