MAC Cosmetics introduces Lipstick and Lip Pencil Duos featuring permanent shades. You can check them out in detail right after the jump.
There’s a new trend going on with these new MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick colors and I thought of showing you another shade of my collection. I got this last year and I’ve been wearing only two or three times, so here goes my review. MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipsticks are know to burst with color, being extremely pigmented and drying down to a total matte finish. For me the dryness feeling is what it bothers me in a matte lip color so keep on reading to see how I got along with MAC Rich & Restless color.

MAC Rich & Restless Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick ($21.00 / 107.00 Lei for 5 ml / 0.17 fl. oz.) is officially described as a “mid-tone pinky salmon.” It’s a light to medium, orange-coral with warm undertones and a matte finish. It shows a super rich color, excellent pigmentation and comes almost opaque on the lips. Continue Reading
Rainbow eyes is the new trend MAC Cosmetics spring 2017 trend as the brand launches a new line of In Extra Dimension Mascara. Would you look at these gorgeous, vibrant and colorful mascaras? I bet all eyes will be on you if you will try any of these colors and I’m already thinking how brave would I be walking around with a yellow mascara on my lashes. Even though they all look so joyful I know not everyone will dare to dive into this new colorful mascara trend. You’d just have to know how to pull off a makeup like this. 🙂 The formula of MAC In Extra Dimension Mascara is well known for providing thick, generous and full lashes.

You already know about my picks from MAC Holiday 2016 Mariah Carey Collection so today I want to post my review for MAC I’m That Chic You Like Eyeshadow Quad. There were actually two eyeshadow quads released as a limited edition, part of this collection and even though they were both available when I entered MAC store, I decided to choose only this one. As you know the exquisite packaging had an impact on the price for this collection overall, so each item was more expensive that usual. I personally like the combination of brown and gold shades and this palette seemed like the best choice for something I’d wear in the evening or special occasions. I actually used the shades from this palette on my New Year’s Eve makeup look as they lean to a shimmery finish and they are more suitable for a party or glamorous event.

MAC I’m That Chick You Like Eye Shadow x 4 ($41.00 / 184.00 Lei for for 0.19 oz.) is a set of four neutral shades with a shimmering finish. The limited edition palette comes in a glittery compact with a transparent lid and a magnetic closure. What I like about the packaging besides the fact that you can always see the shades is the fact that even though the edges are glittery they are super smooth to the touch. The shades from this palette are easily dupable so I understand why some of you were not really into this palette. Continue Reading
MAC My Mini Extra Dimension Skinfinish was one of my top picks from MAC Holiday 2016 Mariah Carey Collection (info, photos) which was a limited edition release. I went for some light shopping yesterday at Sephora (they have sales btw) and I saw at MAC counters they still have products from this collection available. Like most of you out there, I was head over heels over the packaging of MAC Mariah Carey collection and since this gorgeous extra dimension skinfinish was announced as one of the star products, I had to have it. What really blew away customers, was by far the gorgeous glittery packaging and unique patterns on the products. I’m not really a sucker for limited edition packaging but I’d have to admit this collection really got me. What I find obscene at this product is the high price (extra $12.50) which doesn’t really explain the packaging or the quality of the product, but I guess it’s luxurious just like Mariah.
MAC My Mimi Extra Dimension Skinfinish ($45.50 / 193.00 Lei for 0.35 oz.) is described as a warm gold shimmer. I see it as medium coppery-brown with gold, sparkly shimmer finish. It had a fairly good color payoff, with a semi-opaque coverage. Continue Reading
For a few months I’ve been enjoying the gorgeous color of MAC Vino Lip Pencil and I’ve been pairing it with different lipstick shades and textures. It’s part of the permanent collection so you’ll find it available at your local MAC counter anytime. I discovered it last year when I did some shopping at MAC and also bought Liptensity Lipstick in Burnt Violet (review, swatches), a shade that would definitely need an investment into a new lip liner color. MAC Vino was a perfect match for Burnt Violet, but for other shades as well so it became a one of the most used lip pencils from my collection in the past few months.

MAC Vino Lip Pencil ($17.50 / 71.00 Lei for 1.45 g / 0.05 oz) is officially described as an intense violet-purple. I see it as a medium-dark cool toned burgundy with a touch of purple and a matte finish. It has a good color payoff and it comes very close to a full opacity on the lips. It provides a burst of color in just one swipe and glides easily across the lips but it feels a bit dry at the same time. Continue Reading
Just as promised, I’m back with another review of one of the new four liquid lipstick shades from MAC Kabuki Magic Collection (info, photos) that I was telling you about yesterday. Today is all about MAC Flamingo Road Retro Matte Lipcolour, a crazy and vibrant shade which I’ve been wearing a couple of times last season. I’m quite familiar with MAC Retro Matte Lipcolour formula and the true matte finish, but I can’t really say I’m feeling comfortable with that dryness sensation on my lips.
U.S. Launch Date – 19 January 2017 online @maccosmetics and select MAC Locations
MAC Flamingo Road Retro Matte Lipcolour ( $21.00 U.S. / $25.00 CAD) is officially described as purplish magenta with a matte finish. It’s a medium-deep purple-magenta with cool undertones and a straight matte finish. Continue Reading
