I promised that I will step up my game….and start to post more of my makeup looks and tutorials, so here I’m today with a Fun & Pink Makeup Look. I told you that lately I’m finding myself in a phase where I prefer to wear more of a simple eye makeup, something nude or very washed out while I keep my lips painted in edgy, bold and dark shades of plum and purples. So even though I’m going through a edgy violet lip shades phase, I still haven’t lost my passion for pinks.
This is the kind of pink makeup look that I like to wear usually during the weekends, or when I feel like looking very fresh and girly. Check it out and let me know what do you think! Continue Reading
It seems like today I’ll be posting reviews of the products long forgotten in my un-posted folder. Makeup Academy Matte Lipstick in Pouty Pink was a last year acquisition from the beauty swap event I told you earlier today. I’m not always into matte texture lipsticks but I do love MUA products and I can’t pass on a pink lip color.
Where to buy:
International – Now @muastore.co.uk
UK – Now at Superdrug and online @muastore.co.uk
MUA Pouty Pink Matte Lipstick (£1.00 for 3.8 g) shows as a nice light-medium peachy pink with warm undertones and a matte finish when swatched on my arm. When applied on my lips the color totally changes into a light pink with cool undertones. Continue Reading

This summer I’m at extremes when it comes to makeup and colors combination. Either I’m in the mood to wear something so bright and vivid like orange, greens, yellow and blues or I’m turning towards those browns, golds, champagne and naked colors. The thing is all this summer I’ve been more into those luxurious nudes with a satin or metallic finish and I’m thinking I’ll be turning the page and go back to matte finish nudes and naturals later on the fall. I wore this Luxurious Nude Makeup last week when I spent a very special evening with my friends and the locations as well as the dress code required something classy but still with a touch of luxury. If you want to check out the shades I blended together for this summer makeup look, then take a peek right after the jump.
Last week as the temperatures have gone crazy hot in here I wanted to keep my makeup as simple and as light as possible. Since summer is usually all about bright and intense shades I wanted to play a little around the green shades so I came up with this new Tropical Green Summer Makeup look that is easy to achieve and took me less than 10 minutes to complete. I usually don’t reach out for green shades as my eyes are green and I don’t feel this eyeshadow color will really complement them but it would be lovely if girls with dark eye colors will try it. Take a look after the jump and see the list of the products I’ve used for this tutorial.
In order to celebrate 5 years of colour, the brand launches the new Makeup Academy 5th Birthday Palette, a collection of 12 shades. I own a couple of MUA palettes, some of them are brand new as I never had the chance to open and use them, but others I’ve played with a couple of times and the colors were pretty pigmented with a decent quality for drugstore brand.

I’ve always been a fan of lip glosses and my latest acquisition is Makeup Academy Smooch Intense Kisses High Intensity Gloss, a very light shade perfect for summer or a daily nude look. I’m already familiar with this MUA lip gloss formula as this is not my first shade. I like to wear Smooch shade on its own for a natural, fresh look or applied over any lipstick for a plus of shine.
International | UK – now at local drugstores and online @muastore.co.uk
MUA Smooch Intense Kisses Lipgloss (£2.00 for 5.1 ml) is a light coral peach with fine gold and silver shimmer. It provides a sheer coverage, adding just a bit of coral shade to the lips but that intense shimmer is more visible. It gives an intense shiny finish which makes lips appear fuller, fresher and with a beautiful wet lip effect. Continue Reading
Makeup Academy Out There Plumping Lip Gloss in Pin Up Pink is a very cute and vibrant pink shade that I bought a while ago along with other MUA products. Because I’m just addicted to lip glosses and I usually try to finish a couple of them before testing new ones I just gave this beautiful Pin Up Pink lip gloss a try the other day. Who doesn’t like a cheap makeup deal and as we now MUA is a very loved drugstore brand so I also bought some eyeshadow palettes along with lip glosses and lipsticks.
International and UK – @muastore.co.uk, @superdrug.com
MUA Pin Up Pink Plumping Lip Gloss (£2.00) is a blue-based medium raspberry pink with a super glossy finish. It’s an intense and bright pink that changes the lip color but somehow it still manage to give some translucency and not be fully opaque on the lips. This is the perfect shade for anyone who loves a pop of pink on their lips and appreciate a super glossy finish that also gives the appearance of fuller bigger lips. Continue Reading
