YSL Rock and Baroque Nail Polish creates new trends for Fall 2010

Hi everyone,

After writing about YSL Rock and Baroque makeup collection for Fall 2010, I though we can use some new inspiration for our nails in the next season.

Those new Duo Nail Polishes which will be available in a Special Limited Edition look absolutely stunning. The fact that they come as a couple, indicates a new trend for french manicure.

Usually makeup collection focus on eye and lips but this time I think Rock and Baroque collection will be focused on new nail trends, new colors combination.

Enjoy these photos and follow me after the jump for more photos and information.

Price and Availability

16 August 2010 – Eur 45.00 each Duo Nail Polish

My favorite duo is Beautiful Day in purple and turquoise colors (left photo) and since I can’t decide which of the colors should go as a base I think I will follow the example from the first photo. πŸ™‚

YSL Beautiful Day – Duo Nail Polish

The most daring Duo seems to be Rive Gauche, with those two fiery colors.

First row: Rive Gauche – Second Row: Beautiful Night.

The third duo is Beautiful Night a great combination of purple and gold that can be worn during the holidays.

These new trends look so chic and daring, just the thing to get you out of that monotone french manicure in white and pink shades.

To get the perfect result, first you should apply a base coat, followed by 2 coats of the main polish, another layer for the color on the fingernailΒ  and a top coat as the final piece, to add extra shine and make sure that your manicure will last for days.

  1. I LOVE these nail polishes! 1st duo is definitely my choice and I would also pick that berry shade from Rive Gauche and the purple shade from Beautiful Night. πŸ™‚

Are YSL nail polishes any good? πŸ™‚

    • Nice combination πŸ™‚ I’m actually crazy about purple nail polishes but not about gold ones so that’s why I picked the first Duo because I like both colors. I never tried YSL nail polish yet. πŸ™‚

    • Hi Gio! The price is always the problem in my corner too….I’ve tried soooo many nail polishes so far and I feel like I don’t wanna spend another dime on more colors, but I really like the first duo so I’m still thinking. I just don’t want to have the same experience I had with Chanel Mistral nail polish from Pop Up Collection. I will explain it all in my review..pretty soon. It was my first time with Chanel πŸ™‚ nail polish. πŸ™ I’m disappointed.
