Claudia Schiffer Cherry Blossom Blush Review, Swatches, Photos

by Tavia

Hello cuties!

Today I’m planning to review a lot of the products that I’ve been using in the past month and I’ll start with Claudia Schiffer Cherry Blossom Blush. For those of you who didn’t know she launched her makeup line, as I got questions even the other day, I will send you to check out Artdeco Claudia Schiffer Makeup Collection (info, photos).

The collection launched last month, as a collaboration between the famous German blonde model and Artdeco beauty brand to celebrate Claudia’s 30th anniversary of her modelling career. I grew up with her posters in my room when I was a teenager so you can imagine how excited I was for this launch.

I saw the sneak peeks before the launch so the pink packaging really stole my heart in a second. We don’t know yet if this is going to be a permanent collection or if there will be a second collaboration, but I surely do hope so.

Once the collection launched online I started shopping, but by the time I was ready to check out some of the items I selected were sold out. You can see HERE my picks from this collection, but in the meantime I got more products. So, do check out my Instagram for updates.

Claudia Schiffer Cherry Blossom Blush (£29.50 / €29.50 for 7 g / 0.24 oz) is one of the six available shades. It’s a light pink with subtle cool undertones and a matte finish. It has a velvety texture and feels incredibly soft to the touch.

For a light skin tone like me, this kind of pink is ideal for a super natural rosy cheeks look, but it will work for medium skin tones as well. The color is soft with an semi-opaque coverage. It’s buidable so if you want more intensity 2-3 layers should do it. I personally prefer the softer version and one layer of color is enough for me.

The texture is ultra-fine and the matte finish doesn’t emphasizes pores. You’ll get a fresh, younger look in just seconds. It contains  moisturising hyaluronic acid so your skin won’t feel dry.

I prefer using this blush mostly during the day, for a casual, day to day makeup look. It doesn’t come on too strong, it’s easily blendable and if I want more intensity in the evening it’s easy to build up the color. I had around 7 hours wear before the color started to fade away.

The packaging got my heart right from the start and this goes for the entire collection. The blusher comes in a light pink compact with golden edges and a magnetic closure. It something in between the luxurious and glamorous touch of a golden mirror-like packaging and the pink girly-girl packaging. I personally adore it, but maybe not everyone is crazy about pink like I am. 🙂

If you bought anything from this collection do let me know, as I’m really curious. Some of you already wrote me in private and on Instagram and I know is it really a shame the collection is not being sold in the U.S. as well.
