You thought I gave up on pink? 🙂 Well this review of Essence Poppy Pink Long Lasting Lipstick proves that my love for pink lip colors will never fade. Essence is a drugstore brand that has remained dear to my heart since I was a teenager so I still like to splurge on a bunch of their makeup products from time to time. The prices are super affordable and even though we are talking about drugstore products, the quality may surprise you sometimes just like the Matt Matt Matt Lipsticks (review, swatches) surprised me with their pigmentation and long lasting power.

Essence Poppy Pink (25) Long Lasting Lipstick (€2.25 / 12.80 Lei for 3.8 g / 0.13 oz) is a light-medium baby pink with blue undertones and a creamy finish. It has a good color payoff with a medium opacity on the lips. Even though it’s such a light pink shade it does transform my natural lip color and adds freshness while giving me that girly girl look.I like the creamy, shiny finish that it gives and how easily it glides on the lips. It has such a lightweight creamy formula that caresses your lips in just one swipe layering a burst of pink shade. It feels super comfortable on the lips without sinking into lip lines. The color can be layered and you can get a medium coverage and a more even finish.
In just one swipe you may notice it looks just a bit uneven. I used to wear this color on a daily basis, just for a fun, day to day, casual makeup look. It just adds a bit of shine and fresh color to your lips without too much fuss and you can keep your makeup as natural as possible.
When I’m drinking or having a meal the color transfers on the glass and fades away without leaving a stain behind. So you just might have to keep this color nearby or in your purse for a quick touch-up. I had an average of 3 and half hours wear with this formula without any dryness.
