Melkior Air Blue Eyeshadow is one of those shades meant for summer, especially in a season where every brand is releasing a makeup collection based on blue shades. I admit, blue is a shade I hardly use in my makeup, most of you already noticed by now that I’m using blue, green or yellow especially for tutorials but I know is a popular color that many can’t live without.

Melkior Air Blue Eyeshadow (27.00 Lei for 3.2 g/ 0.11 oz) is a light medium pastel marine blue with a subtle satin finish. It has a good color payoff and delivers a pigmented shade even without a makeup primer. I tested it over Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer and that beautiful satin finish is more intense, which makes Air Blue a great summer shade.
The texture is super soft, smooth and velvety to the touch, a real pleasure to swatch it and feel it between your fingers. It applies easily and evenly across the lid while it adheres well onto the skin without any fall-out during the application. It’s easily blendable and has a non drying and comfortable feel.
The packaging offers more than just a regular single eyeshadow. At first you’ll notice the black rounded case with a transparent lid that snaps shut is bigger than most single shadows and inside underneath the eyeshadow you will also find a mirror which can be very useful when you need to retouch your makeup but also a small empty space.
I had 8 hours wear with Melkior Air Blue Eyeshadows without creasing but after an entire day of wearing this color it started showing signs of fading.
