Rouge Bunny Rouge Eyeshadows & Glassy Gloss – Preview, Photos & Swatches

by Tavia

Hello beauties!

A while ago I received  a small package from Rouge Bunny Rouge containing three shades of Nest of Plenty Eyeshadow Keeper Refills meant to be used with the black Trio Eyeshadow Keeper and one shade of Glassy Gloss. I used all these products for quite a while now and I will soon post individual reviews. All these products were launched this summer as part of RBR Nest Of Plenty Collection (info & promo photos).

I received Long-Lasting Eyeshadow When Birds Are Singing Refills (£16.00 – $25.89 –  €19.63) in #64 Golden Rhea (iridescent pale gold), #66 Bohemian Waxwing (iridescent bronzed champagne) and #67 Lilac Reef Curassow (pale lilac with iridescent effect). All these shades have iridescent towards metallic finish but the colors are not very vibrant making them more suitable for a natural makeup. When I swatched them without a primer I had to layer the color a couple of times just so I can get a decent color payoff. Over a primer the shades are sparkling and they look more pigmented. They are blendable, easy to work with, they don’t smudge or fall off. The texture is smooth and they are very easy to blend without being chalky or powdery.

I also received Nest of Plenty Trio Eyeshadow Keeper ($24.27 – €18.40 – £15.00) and I placed the three eyesadows inside creating a small eyeshadow palette. The palette is very practical, it has a mirror inside and a duo applicator while the eyeshadow keepers are hold securely with a magnet. On the back of the palette are three small holes specially created for each of the eyeshadows in case you want to change the refill with another shade. You’ll just have to insert something with a point end like the tip of a scissors or a sharp pencil into the small hole and the refill with pop out.

I have Glassy Gloss Sweet Excess (£22.00 – 7.5 ml/ 0.25 fl oz) in #55 Crisp Sorbet which is a cushiony-soft sheer coconut ice pink, with coral and gold opalescence. It is more a natural pale coral with a ultra glossy finish which looks quite sheer on the lips. It doesn’t feel sticky and has a nice smooth formula which contains Cotton Tree Extract to hydrate and revitalise but is also anti oxidant and anti ageing.  My lips really feel soft and instantly hydrated  looking fresh and naturally without being dry after a couple of hours. I get about 4-5 hours of wear with this color.

I love Golden Rhea and Bohemian Waxwing. They are subtle shades but classy looking.

It really is, the texture is amazing even though the color is not so pigmented. 🙂
