Swiss Line Water Shock Soothing Lotion – Review!

by Tavia

Hello beauties!

Today I want to talk to you about Swiss line Water Shock Soothing Lotion, a product that’s been part of my skincare routine in the last month. I’ve received a deluxe sample of 35 ml/ 1.0 fl oz for testing and review purposes from Beauty Senses, the official distributor of Swiss line products in Romania. Even though I used Soothing Lotion two times a day I still have enough product left to use for another 30 days.

Availability

International – now @swissline.net, beauty shops, beauty salons and also to local distributors

Romania – now at Swiss line Romania, Beauty Senses and very soon at private beauty shops and beauty centers.

Swiss line Water Shock Soothing Lotion (160 ml for €45.00/ 210.00 Lei/ 61.20 CHF) is a gentle, botanical, alcohol-free lotion that soothes and smoothes the skin, as it removes the last traces of make-up. I’m a combination and sensitive skin type but this product is suitable for all skin conditions, except those with very oily skin types.

The full size product comes in a plastic transparent 160 ml bottle which is colored as a light pink due to the liquid inside. The bottle is practical, easy to use and allows you to see how much product is left inside so you’ll know when is time to repurchase it. The liquid itself has a very discreet and clean smell, somehow fruity but also close to smell of fresh laundry.

I used the Soothing Lotion two times a day, morning and evening, after the Water Shock Comforting Emulsion Cleanser (review & photos) and I noticed how well it cleanses, removing the last traces of make-up and leaving me with a clean, fresh and smooth complexion. The lotion is very gentle and can be used even by those with very sensitive skin type without causing irritation. The entire time I’ve been using Soothing Lotion I haven’t experienced any irritation, discomfort, redness or breakouts and trust me when I tell you that my skin reacts immediately when a product is not suitable for me.

It detoxifies and decongests the skin while regulating moisture balance and boots the water retention in the epidermis counteracting fine lines and dehydration. My complexion looks clean, fresh, hydrated and feels so smooth to the touch. Even combination skin types can be dehydrated so this is a very good product to be used as a final step after removing your makeup. It can also be used by women with mature skin.

Let’s take a step further and find out more about the key ingredients:

  • Alpine “Wild Water”: this skin-friendly water contains precious minerals like Calcium and Magnesium which strengthen and boost skin’s metabolism while detoxifying it.  The pure, clean Swiss Alpine ”Wild Water” is ideal for all skin types.
  • Watercress Extract: rich in Sulforaphane, Watercress extract helps to detoxify the skin while regulating moisture balance and producing a purified, glowing healthy complexion.
  • NMF Complex: comprised of different plant-based ingredients, NMF Complex replicates the skin’s own Natural Moisturizing Factor and boosts the water retention in the epidermis.
  • Prickly Pear Extract: the pulp of the Prickly Pear fruits, rich in carbohydrates and flavonoids, soothes, reduces redness, and protects fragile or congested skin

This photo was taken after I’ve been using the product for 2 and a half weeks and now after more than one month I still have almost a half of the bottle left. Do remember that this is a deluxe sample and not the full size bottle. Romanian visitors who are interested in this product can read the product description in Romanian right here. On the Swiss line Romania Facebook page you will always find attached to each photo a full description of the product.

Oh this seems like a nice product to have, it seems an interesting line but it’s just too bad it’s so expensive. I can’t wait for your reviews of the other products. 🙂

I’ve tested and used a couple of Swiss Line products over the past month and now I’m testing some new ones. You know I’ve asked you about this brand previously as I’ve read so many positive reviews. I like using luxury skin care brands and since I’m a fan of La Prairie and La Mer I do find Swiss Line products to be cheaper than its competitors. So far I’m actually thinking of purchasing their Cell Shock Eye Lifting Complex in full size after I’ll finish my deluxe sample. I will post more reviews in the upcoming days. 🙂
