Hello beauties!

I got to try out the amazing Charlotte Tilbury Rock’n’Khol Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil thanks to BritishBeautyBlogger who offered me the product a few months back when we met for a cup of coffee. I admitted to her that I never tried Charlotte Tilbury products before and she simply said “Tavia, you just have to try this one”…so I knew it will be amazing. She gave me the Black Magic shade which comes as a mini eye pencil and is part of Charlotte Tilbury Nocturnal Cat Eyes to Hypnotise ($39.00 / 29.00) which also includes the Silver Leopard Eyeshadow.

Charlotte Tilbury Black Magic Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil is officially described as an “intense petrol shade.” It’s a deep black with cool undertones and blue shimmer. It has a good color payoff, nice pigmentation and definitely a special twist thanks to that navy shimmer. It had semi-opaque coverage when swatched but you can easily build it up to an opaque coverage if you layer it two-three times.

The consistency is creamy, but the tip of the pencil is not very soft or smooth, which really works in my advantage as it allows me to draw a stable line, without feeling like the consistency is starting to melt. The cream formula is just a bit on the dryer side so this pencil doesn’t need sharpening that often comparing to other creamy-formula pencils (like those from Essence for example).

I love the color for a cat eye makeup or smokey eye look, as I can simply line out my eye and my waterline or use it all over my lid and smudge it afterwards. The fact that is not a simple classy black, makes this color even more appealing to me so I could wear it when I’m going clubbing or when a certain event needs a more sparkling makeup.

I had about 8 hours wear with this product when I lined my upper lash line or smudged underneath my lower lash line, but when applied on my waterline if faded within an hour.
