Hello pretties!

I’m so excited to finally be able to review Givenchy Metallic Reflection Palette which was recently released in a limited edition as part of Givenchy Vinyl Fall 2015 Collection (swatches, photos). Those of you who are following Chicprofile on Periscope already know that I promised to review some products of this collection and Givenchy Metallic Reflection Palette has definitely attracted my attention right from the beginning. For those of you who missed my Periscope stream you can see the replay on Chicprofile’s Youtube Chanel.

Givenchy Metallic Reflection Palette (£38.50 / 241.00 Lei / $58.00 for 4 x 1 g / 0.14 oz) is a sparkling mix between three shades and a matte one. The color combination of this Givenchy metallic shimmer eyeshadow quad is so fall appropriate and they are so easy to mix and work them together for a day or night time look.

I’ll start with the packaging and say I absolutely adore the combination of suede finish and shiny patent silver which makes this quad look so chic, modern and non-conformist. Inside the palette you’ll find the four eyeshadows along with two small sponge eye shadow applicators and a mirror which comes in handy when you’ll need to retouch your makeup.

Givenchy Metallic No.1 is a light golden beige with warm undertones and high metallic finish. This is the lightest shade of the quad and reflects the light beautifully due to its extreme metallic base. It has a good color payoff, but without being fully opaque when it’s applied. The formula is smooth, it applies on evenly and without any fall out. I had 8 hours wear with this color before it started to slowly fade.

Givenchy Metallic No.2 is a dark reddish-pink with subtle gold shimmer on a metallic base with a high sheen. It has a semi opaque color coverage applied without an eyeshadow primer but it can be intensified if you’ll use one. The color is easily blendable, has a smooth formula, glides and adheres well onto the skin and has no fall-out during the application. I had about 9 hours wear before I started to see the first signs of fading.

Givenchy Metallic No.3 is light rosy-brown with gold shimmer and a high metallic finish. It has a good color payoff, being semi-opaque, but you can intensify the color if you apply it over an eyeshadow primer. The formula is smooth, non-drying, applies on evenly and without any fall out. I really like using this shade in the crease or in the outer corner of the eye. I had 9 hours wear with this formula.

Givenchy Metallic No.4 is a dark coffee brown with very subtle gold particles and matte finish. This is the darkest color of the palette and having a different finish than the other ones it really stands out. The formula is not so smooth like the other 3 shades, but it applies on well, adheres well onto the skin and has no fall-out. The color has a semi-opaque coverage and I like to use it in the crease, on the outer corner of the eye or all over the lid for a brown smoky eye with a sparkling touch. I had 8 hours wear with this formula.

I did a couple of makeup looks using this palette and I shall post them in the upcoming days and after that I will try to update this article with some of those photos and link back to the tutorials.
