Max Factor Lovely Pink Creme Puff Blush Review, Swatches, Photos

by Tavia

Hello beauties!

I’ve been waiting for the release of Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes (info, photos) for almost 4 months now, since I so many reviews and everyone was so excited about this new launch. Here is my review of Max Factor 05 Lovely Pink Creme Puff Blush, one of the six shades released this spring. This is the lightest shade from the entire line so having a fair skin tone I would definitely say this was perfectly chosen for me when Max Factor Romania sent me this product over for consideration. The new Max Factor Creme Puff Blush line offers colors for any skin tone from fair to light and medium to dark so you can easily find something suitable for you. Max Factor is usually bragging about its eye makeup products and if you are familiar with the brand you know mascaras are its strongest point but now, the release of these blushes makes them serious about cheek products as well.

Max Factor Lovely Pink Creme Puff Blush (£8.99 / 65.00 lei) is a light peachy pink with fine gold and slightly dark pink shades running through it. It’s a baked powder blush with a super soft, velvety formula which feels amazingly smooth to the touch. This shade is definitely suitable for fair to light skin tones as it offers a light color coverage which can be easily buildable to a maximum light-medium coverage.

Applied with a light hand Max Factor Lovely Pink Creme Puff Blush gives a fresh natural looking soft hue to your cheeks and if you want to layer it on 3 or 4 layers it will give you a more intense flush of color that will still look natural. What I truly love about this blush is the formula which is not powdery so even if you swirl your brush to pick up the product you won’t have any fall out as this is a special kind of baked blush.

For me it also doubles as a highlighter as it not only gives a fresh pop of color to my cheeks but it also gives them luminosity. The color is wearable on a daily basis, for a day time appropriate makeup look, it’s easily blendable and every easy to work with. It doesn’t emphasize pores so it is suitable even for those with combination and oily skin types (totally my case). It just gives your cheeks a healthy glow, without being too much and it is just a perfect choice of blush for a natural, fresh makeup look.

You can’t go wrong with this type of blush as it delivers enough color even when you apply it with a light hand and if you, by mistake, applied too much you can easily buff out any harsh streaks, that’s when you’re using a darker color.

I had about 5 hours wear with this formula, like I usually have with most powder blushes but in this case, I still noticed a hint of fine shimmer on the cheeks.

I’ll be definitely check out the other shades as well, or at least those suitable for medium skin tones as I believe I can make them work for a light skin tone as me if I blend them well enough and not apply too much product.

Apart from Max Factor retailers I wouldn’t know. I’ve stopped using this brand many years ago.
