Max Factor Miracle Match Foundation Review, Swatches, Photos

by Tavia

Hello sweeties!

Over the past few years Max Factor foundations have represented my go-to drugstore foundation choices so I’m always excited about a new launch. Max Factor Second Skin Foundation (review, photos) has been my favorite one for years and it broke my heart when it was discontinued, but soon I discovered my current love, Max Factor Whipped Cream Foundation which unfortunately has also been discontinued recently. With Max Factor seems that I’m always on the lookout for a new foundation and if it happens to like it to death for sure it will not be featured as permanent product for long. When I heard about the new Max Factor Miracle Match Blur & Nourish Foundation (official info / promo photos) and I read all the details I felt that I should give it a try as it could be the one replacing my beloved Whipped Cream Foundation.

Max Factor Miracle Match Foundation (£12.99 / €17.99 / 61.35 Lei for 30 ml / 1.0 fl oz) is available in 18 shade and it’s listed as a permanent product. My shade is No.50 Natural, the one that I’ll be reviewing today, but recently I also receive for testing No.45 Warm Almond.

Let’s get straight down to the obvious which is the packaging, hosting the product in a transparent glass bottle with a pump applicator. I was surprised to see that we are not talking about a regular pump this time as it seems to have an upgrade version and you can lock in the pump by twisting it to the side. It allows you got use half a pump if you feel like it or disperse more if you need more coverage. I love that it offers a great variety of shades, 18 to be more exact so it will be easy for anyone to find a match or to combine to shades together.

The formula is somewhere between a thick liquidy one and a cream and feels very lightweight and hydrating. It offers a medium coverage, buildable up to a light full coverage but it still keeps a natural finish. I have to say that it gives that beautiful dewy finish with a touch of luminosity evening out my complexion and redness while it keeps me looking natural.

It doesn’t look cakey or patchy and I always like that it gives me this fresh, natural and flawless look. It has a light consistency so it works for oily and combination skin types as well (I’m a combination skin type and it looks wonderful on me) but is best to set it with a loose powder. I never had that feeling that some full medium or full coverage foundation give me, that I’m wearing a mask. This is so comfortable on the skin and it easily blendable with your fingers, a foundation brush or even a beauty blender.

I personally like to use my fingers mostly when applying this foundation and a pump is enough to cover my entire complexion, as I don’t like to over do it. It blurs imperfections, it’s easy on the fine lines and wrinkles so it doesn’t emphasizes them (don’t apply too much powder though), it evens out your skin tone, covers redness, pimples, breakouts and dark circles and gives you a healthy glow.

I have to admit it reminds me of Max Factor Second Skin Foundation only that it has a more thicker formula and gives more coverage.

I wore it over the past few weeks, so it lasts from morning till evening, without the color fading away but after 6 hours my complexion starts to glow a little bit on my T-zone. It doesn’t look oily or greasy, none of that, but just a bit shiny, nothing that a bloating tissue won’t solve. 🙂

So I’m definitely liking this new Max Factor foundation and most certain it will replace my Whipped Cream foundation once I finish it.

You should look for the amazing Max Factor offer that is currently available as Miracle Match Foundation is paired with one shade of Max Factor Marilyn Monroe Lipstick (swatches, photos) of your choosing so you can save up to 25% (72.00 Lei).

Have you ladies had a chance to try it out already? 🙂
